Parking

 

TRAX & FRONTRUNNER

Regular TRAX routes begin at 5:30 am.

There are two stations close to Library Square: the Courthouse Station on Main Street and the Library Station on 400 South.

An extra red line train will depart Sandy Civic Center at 6:48 am and arrive at Library Square at 7:21 am.

An extra red line event train will depart Daybreak at 6:46 am and arrive at Library Square at 7:31 am.

From the north, you may take Frontrunner and transfer to TRAX.

Early Frontrunner trains will depart Ogden at 6:16 am and 7:16 am, and arrive at Salt Lake Central at 7:07 am and 8:07 am.

PARKING

Participants who drive to the event will use city parking.

Komen does not provide private parking. PLEASE CARPOOL whenever possible.

Parking is free on Saturdays for two hours at any City-owned spot. There are multiple parking lots west of the venue, and street parking to the north. SEE MAP

The City Library's parking garage will operate as usual. Daily fee is $10.

There is no way for Komen to validate parking.

There are a limited number of disabled parking slots available in the library’s garage. The city offers free metered parking for vehicles with a disability placard.

If you plan to leave the venue prior to the Race program (10:15 am Saturday), consider parking on surface streets north of the venue for easiest exit.

There is absolutely no parking on the Race course. Violators will be towed. Parking within the loop of the course is strongly discouraged.

ROAD CLOSURES: BASIC

200 E closes 7 pm Friday evening.

State Street and other streets closest to Library Square will be completely closed starting at 6 am Saturday.

The rest of the course will begin closing around 7:47 am.

Streets on the west side of the course will start opening to traffic around 9 am.

Streets on the east and north sides of the course won’t open until 11:00 or later.

ROAD CLOSURES: DETAILED

State Street will close to through traffic between 400 and 500 South at 6 am Saturday; northbound traffic will be routed west at 500 South until approximately 7:45 am, at which time State Street will close between 400 and 900 South. East/westbound traffic crossing State Street will be allowed until approximately 8:30 am. Once the runners start clearing State Street it will reopen as the SLCPD Motor Squad deems it safe to do so.

200 East will close to through traffic between 400 and 500 South at 7 pm Friday and will remain closed until approximately 1 pm Saturday. 300 East will close to through traffic (except for construction) at 6 am Saturday and will reopen at approximately 1 pm Saturday.

500 South will close to through traffic between State Street and 500 East at approximately 7:30 am Saturday and will remain closed for the duration of the Race; blocks west of 200 East will reopen to westbound traffic at approximately 9:00 am Saturday.
